The classic force
First, some knowledge...Many magicians do not try this because they think it takes too much practice. Even if this is the secret to this trick. Every time you are having someone pick a card, you should try to force a card to them.
If you miss and they pick another card,it doesn't really matter because you have a different trick ready so that it doesn't look like you messed up. If they take the card, great! You are ready to perform a miracle.
There are three elements which are essential to the classic force: Practice, timing, and practice. However once mastered, it is the most straightforward method of forcing a card.
THE FORCE: Start with the force card on top of the deck. Cut the deck but keep a break above the force card. Move the top portion to the right just enough for the edge of the lower top card is exposed. Keep an eye on this card, Figure 1.

Begin spreading the cards between the hands and ask the spectator to take a card. Continue spreading the cards into the right hand while keeping the break, Figure 2.

As the spectator starts to reach for a card, spread all the cards above the break past the spectators fingers and position the force card close to their fingers. As they reach to take a card, spread the force card into their fingers, Figure 3 & 4.

Timing is everything. Don’t rush the spread. Instead, control the speed of the spread to the speed of the spectator. Also, as the force card becomes more visible, move the spread of cards closer to the spectators hand. This action will speed up the spectator in taking a card.
