The Finger Palm

INFO: The Finger Palm is the most versatile sleight used in magic. It conceals a coin or any small object in the hand in a fair and natural way while the hand appears empty.

THE SLEIGHT: Hold the hand palm up and flat. Place the coin at the base of the second and third fingers, just below the first joint, Figure 1.

Curl the fingers into a loose fist. Grip the coin between the base of the palm and the first joint of the fingers, Figure 2.

Turn the hand over and the coin will not fall. The thumb and first finger have complete mobility while the second and third have limited mobility.

The hand should not be in a fist but rather be loose and casually half closed. The key to the is palm is to relax. It’s natural for the hands to rest in this position, Figures 3 & 4.
